Do Velocitys have wood free construction or just small amounts?

Im talking about the 280-390 style go fast boats

Im curious what year this happened as Im looking at two that are from the 90s and two from early 2000s

I know there isnt any wood in the floor, Im talking stringers, and inside the hull that may be encased in glass.

The one im most interested in is a 1997 320

I had a 1998 320 and the rear seat / bulkhead was made of "starboard" type of product. All else structural was plywood (except stringers were solid) and it was glassed or resin sealed. The hull/deck layup used Baltek but the cabin gelcoat components had a synthetic component (called "deco" something or other)

What would a 2004 320 be made of ? Would it have a coosa transom ?

Same build schedule unless buyer specially upgraded (more money) the build schedule (unlikely). The no transom wood upgrade decision back then was performance related (lower weight) instead of water resistance. Get the 15 year old prospective boat surveyed. If it's not wet by now it'll be fine provided you take care of it.

I owned the very first ever built 320 / 32 to pop out of the mold. Had the boat for many years and sent it down the road when I discovered that the transom was total chit mush due to total lack of care in sealing the exhaust pipe holes. Twenty bucks worth of resin and caulk could have made the boat good to go for the ages. I will give it a plus for solid build as far as structural goes, just sloppy attention to detail killed it.

Just saying be careful, Steve built one he!! of a boat, but might not have had a real tight hold on the TLC. Just saying!
