I came across this on YouTube . I don’t think it’s been up very long it only has 19 views . Thank you to freeze frame video and the person that posted it . My father took us to watch the races in 1984 and 1985 I think . Did any of you guys race in that one? I don’t know anything about the classes but it’s pretty cool to see all the stock-ish Super boats , Banana boats and even a Checkmate !

I lived in Boston from about 93-96, bought a 1983 23' Nova from a guy i RI and kept it at Marina Bay, had some great memories up there, I was in my early 20's. Ended up in Provincetown for 4th of July, had no idea it was "their" town, LOL

Well I was 10 and to be honest I don’t remember any daisy duke shorts , but freeze frame did a nice job of capturing them! The whole experience was mind blowing . I was used to tri hulls and 115 hp outboards . When they lowered those boats in with the travel lift and fired them up it was unlike anything I had heard . I liked the pits as well , I remembering asking one of the guys why the props on the Arenson drives didn’t cavitate because I could see the props were so close to the surface . Of course watching them race was amazing too! I think I was there in 85,86 but I’m not 100% sure . Maybe daisy duke girl only showed up in 84!
