Default Scarab Panther mystery.......Kevlar.......again
I started the test power of my 1988 Panther. Pulled factory original 1400 hr 330’s to replace with new 496 motors. While the motors are out, I started to fix the traditional cracked stingers. I found what looks like gold colored heavy weave cloth that fuzzed up when hit with a grinder. The Hun HIN has neither KV in the number or Kevlar under it.
Many ideas?

Sounds like he's describing Kevlar to me, my 92 TG was Kevlar

Im very interested in your find... I have a 1989 Panther that I picked up and going to pull the 454 motors.
