What is the approximate cost, excluding the drivetrain, for converting a flat deck quarter canopy, to a new dash, wraparound boat? So, the cost of insert, windhsield, dash, interior, and paint??

Wow, never thought I would think a windshield would make a 40' Skater look so good. Day and night difference.

I've been told it's in the +60k range without rear seats (if you widen the cockpit from a 5 seater to a 6)

I cut down the deck on our 28 Skater and added a Lee Aerospace wraparound windshield, new dash, interior, and paint. I doubt that you could get it all done for $60k. The windshield and receiver alone was about $9500 before we added any labor or materials. Our paint was fairly simple as far as graphics but with all of the prep needed (good painters seem to always spend ALLOT of time in prepping, even if you think that it is ready) and a few airbrushed logo's it was still about $25k. You could spend as much as you want on electronics, but a $15k budget would not be out of line, as would the same number for an interior. I bet that you would be closer to $80-$100k in total once all of the expenses are totaled.

TILT looks amazing!

I remember seeing the TILT Express Cat going by me in front of the St. Clair River Classic back around 2015 or 16. Then I seen the Tilt Skater at Skater Fest on the Detroit River and then I never seen it again. Now that I read this article, I know why I never seen it but I'm sure I will see it this year at Skater Fest and around Lake St. Clair. Everything I've seen is a 10. Andy
