Default Best place to buy parts for surge to EOH conversion

Read most of the threads, I forget where people like to get trailer parts on line for this conversion. I can source locally but that ends up to be in the $2000 range with disk for two axles.

In my experience, etrailer has been about the quickest to ship/receive.

Might I suggest using a plug and play system from Titan or Carlisle. No hard wiring and waterproof connectors. I used the Carlisle Hydrastar system and the only place I found to get the plug and play was from either the manufacturer or Easternmarine. You can buy the complete system for disc, with or without the CAM (controller assist module) for $685. System for drum was a few $$'s cheaper.

Thinking about converting to EOH too. So when they say plug and play harness, does that mean I don't need a brake controller? What is the control adapter module?

No, you do need a controller, whether factory installed or aftermarket. Plug and play means you don't have to hard wire the system into the trailer. Everything is connected with waterproof deutsch connectors. The cost was about the same for either, but P&P was very easy to install.

If you have a GM OEM controller of all years up to the last two or three (if they updated it) you will have to use a CAM to "fool" your factory installed controller so it will operate properly. This also applied to certain year model Fords and Dodges also. Since these controllers were designed for electric brakes, you have to have some electrical resistance in order for the brake controller to think you have electric brakes. You can also use 2 electric brake magnets wired inline to provide the resistance so the controller works. The CAM from either Carlisle or Titan wired inline does the same thing. The CAM is certainly more attractive, but they are more expensive (if bought outright) than 2 electric brake magnets.

If I remember correctly and you don't have a factory controller, most of the aftermarket controllers are designed to recognize the EOH system and you don't need the CAM.
