powerplay 230 conquest

Default powerplay 230 conquest

im going to look at a 1989 powerplay 230 conquest this weekend, it has a newer 454 crate motor, anything in specific i should look for before purchasing?
also what do these boats do for speed?

I would look for soft areas in the floor and wood rot in the transom and stringers.

Great boats, built like a tank but I would expect to find some soft wood somewhere in floors or transom unless already fixed. I had one for many years- which one you looking at?

Which version 454? Mine new with the base 454/330 ran 50-52 on GPS and almost 60 on the factory speedometer ��. Upgraded to a GM crate 502/450 and ran much better but still only 60 on gps.
