With the highest score of any bidder, Race World Offshore has a considerable advantage over its competitors heading into the final Key West City Planning Commission in early May, https://speedonthewater.com/in-the-n...wo-in-key-west.

How do you profit, from a race in KW, when you only have one other race during the regular season! do they think teams will swarm to KW to get screwed money wise as they have been over the past many years?? While there are deep pockets that will attend, My bet is they wont have 30 boats show!

Profit sharing with the town? How about no fees for the racer or is that where the profits come from?

In one of the other KW reports it was said if OPA didn’t win it miss Geico won’t be there. Interesting to see if they keep their word. I’m all in on OPA this season. They have a great schedule.

It might make for an interesting read if someone would combine every offshore racing's organisations total number of entries, along with events, from 2018, and give us all a look at how many teams are still supporting the sport. Would be even more fascinating if it could be broken down after that by "class".

SBI Has 1 Race for the 2019 Season, Kenner, LA,
RWO has 1 Race for the 2019 Season, Dunkirk, NY

OPA/P1 Has a 6 race series, along with APBA/UIM affiliation, and all the pro series races have committed to doing their race series. As well the Production class racers and the P-1 will also be racing. It should be clear as Day where the boat count will be.
