Default Kiekhaefer controls ball bearings fell out

So I took apart my Single Engine Kiekhaefer Controls on my 2002 Cobalt 262 to change the cables. When I pulled it apart 3 ball bearings fell out... My questions are how many are there supposed to be and where do they go?? Any pictures or advice would be greatly appreciated!

They ride on little springs and work as the detents for neutral on the shifter and the ratchety preload on the throttle,. Just look them over closely you will figure out where they go

Gear shifter has 1 bearing/sprin, throttle has 2 bearing/spring. structure is very simple.
