Default Merc K - Tabs

Why doesn't Merc produce a quality casting (as in finish) on there tabs? Even brand new they look like they were pitted and repainted. All the nice hardware on the back of your new boat and that's the best they can do?

Just like their lower end props, like bravos. I got a new pair last year that were in horrible condition. Blades were different pitch. One blade would have cup, the other no cup. One prop had the casting points still on the tips of the blades, the other had them rounded off. And the casting lines at the base of the props from the base of the blade through the diffuser ring weren't sanded at all. It's comical how poorly they were finished. FJ midwest at LOTO refinished them for me.

Prob castings old and alot of past manufacturing use so end result currently is porosity in the finished product. Just a guess on my part. Livorsi has really good end result finish for their tabs
