I don’t have any pictures off hand but statement has some cool ones. I know they were on saddle up. You can make something similar pretty easily. It’s nice because as the hatch goes up it also goes back over the transom for more room.

2 of my boats have had hatches split in the middle with piano hinges at both gunnels (front to back). It will require 2 actuators , but they open nearly vertical, which is great when you need to get into the bilge, and I’d imagine it’s probably better for the longevity of the actuators since they’re lifting less weight.

Phragle, I struggled with this same issue on my 22 Avanti over the winter and never figured out the best option. Mine came with those "take apart hinges" and they never seemed to work that great. I wanted something heavy duty but also something flush so you don't accidentally step on it and hurt your foot. The deck curve is fairly round on mine and I figured most of the options would bind up when you open it. I looked into the "Taco Intelli-Hinge" but that didn't look too strong and also you'd have to grind away a lot of the deck to mount it which I didn't care for. Please let me know what you find out.

No doubt those Dana hinges are sick and would work,,,they only problem is that they are about $1200 bucks more than I want to spend on a set of hinges,,,lol
