Default Miss GEICO Still ‘Plenty Fast’ With Mercury Racing 1100 Comp Engines

The Miss GEICO crew put its freshly repowered and repainted 41-foot catamaran through its first test session yesterday, https://speedonthewater.com/in-the-n...0-comp-engines.

Really hope to see that class grow outside of 3 boats. I like the idea of it a lot and should have most all boats finishing the race unless physically damaged.

Thank you for this post. I learned that there is a class for the 40' +/- cats with the Mercury 1100 turbo motors. You wrote that the 1100 class has three boats for the Cocoa Beach race next week per your article, I think that this 1100 class is a step in right direction and more boats will enter as the race year progresses (an assumption). The racing should be competitive, and hopefully the class grows in the number of participants.

Good luck to the Geico team.
