Default Speaker connectors. Spades the best?

I’m tidying up my sound system, which is pretty basic, but after the fancy amp and tinned wires etc. it seems ridiculous to use plain ol’ hardware store spade connectors on the speakers themselves.

What’s everyone else using?

On most speakers you don't have much choice other than spade connectors. There are higher quality connectors such a silver or gold plated ones. They should be available online or at higher end audio shops. Another step might be to add a small amount of dielectric grease to the speaker tabs before sliding the spade connectors on. That should help keep corrosion down.

+1...Gold plate is about your only significant up-grade. High end devotes say there is a difference - others go with the ???cheapo's and get noise too. (keep in mind corrosion or a bad connection is gong to kill even the best of materials)

Gold plated it is. No one local carries them and surprised how difficult it is to find a kit with both the 1/4” and 1/8” sizes.

Thanks for the input.

What's the male end from speakers made of. Cheap tin. Gold is disimular metals as of the tin. Grease connection and walk away for good.
keep it simple stupid. KISS
