Default Has anyone ever used L29 vortec heads on a carbureted 502

Rebuilding an old stingray 222 have a 502 mag bottom end and a set of vortec 249 heads has anyone ever tried this combo. Was thinking about this with RPM airgap intake and a Holley 800-850 with custom ground cam. My thoughts are that this is a light boat so it would give me a good low rpm cruise but since the boat is light
it would still give me a good top end up to about 5200 rpm. Just don't want to waste my time.

Yep it will rock depending on what you’re used to.

Use a crane 731 equivalent or less as I’m assuming you’ll have some sort or stockish exhaust.
