Found something pretty devastating today. While drilling the holes for my IMCO steering on my 2002 Fastech, I noticed the drill blasted through the wood in the transom way too easy in some spots (towards the middle of the transom under the center exhaust holes). When inspecting the wood stuck in the bit, it was damp and almost black. It looks like the exhaust leaked from tho hose to the thru hull tips into the transom from the inside. What would a transom rebuild cost on this boat? Any info is appreciated.

I cant give you a dollar quote...but if you derig it and rereig it, so the fiberglass guy only has to do fiberglass, your going to save a LOT of money
