Default Is there an insurance company that will insure a 1995 31' boat?

I am looking for insurance for a 1995 31' Warlock, and I keep getting turned down due to boat's age and length.
I have had 2 other go fast boats 99 Formula 312 and 99 Formula 419 Fastech, never had an
issue getting insurance. Just sold a 2001 Carver 466 MY with commercial insurance, no problems. Never
had a claim in 35 years of boating, or a DUI, or violation of any kind. Insurance companies are saying
that these are new policies about age and length. Thanks in advance for any help!

Not anymore. Mine was grandfathered into their new policy and my rates went up.

There have been a couple threads in the insurance section with some recommendations on insurance though.

Good luck i was trying to buy a 32 warlock sxt it was a 1994 and had to pass on the deal because i could not get insurance. Bought a formula and had no issue, no one will insure older cat hull boats. I even called formost who insured it for the original owner and they would not.

I don't think so. Wakezone = Foremost

WELCOME TO WAKE ZONE MARINE INSURANCE

PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO CURRENT MARKET CHANGES, OUR ABILITY TO PLACE BOATS OLDER THAN 20 YEARS OF AGE AND GREATER THAN 26' (THE COMBINATION OF) HAS BECOME INCREASINGLY DIFFICULT. WE HAVE A CARRIER THAT WILL WRITE THESE BOATS BUT THE MINIMUM PREMIUM TO DO SO BEGINS AT APPROXIMATELY $3500/$4000 PER YEAR. PLEASE NOTE THAT WHEN CHOOSING TO REQUEST A QUOTATION FROM US.

Or are just ok with killing the market for boaters like myself that need to be more budget friendly and can't afford a 5 year old 200k boat. Sucks they are going this way. I'm even fine with a survey to prove the boat isn't a safety hazard, but going on age alone makes no sense when you see some of these 20+ year old boats fully redone and look new.
