Sun Damage or Improper Cleaning

Trust me. Don't use a regular permanent marker. I tried a red sharpie and lets just say it was not exactly permanent and I had red streaks.
You need you use a fabric marker that you would get at a sewing supply store.

I used some of the fabric markers on the embroidery on my Active Thunder on the last detail before I sold it. It turned out great. AC Moore is where I bought them; and I bet Hobby Lobby sells them too.

I had an old upholstery guy tell me sunscreen rubbing off on seats can cause damage due to build up of sweat and body oils. I have noticed over the years that places where people sit without a shirt and loaded up with sunscreen do take more cleaning. If it was bleach damage the threads would be deteriorating.
