I need a new prop after hitting a rock with my 20 outlaw, the broken one is a vengeance 23P which is ok for top speed but not much else. Or what bothers me the most is the hole shot which is almost impossible with a litte weight. I'm ready to give up some top speed in order to improve the hole shot, so i thought the Tempest 22P could work for me. I also thought about the Bravo I 22P, but would it be too much prop for this boat? Engine is 5.0 MPI 260 hp. It would be nice to pick up some cruise speed. Has anyone tried a 4 blade prop in this boat?

I have a 2005 202 Islander, same hull a little heavier and also have the 23P Vengance, it's slow out of the hole but the top end's nice, seen 60-61 on GPS.
I now run a Turbo 2+2 22P that I bought used from a fellow Baja owner. It's much better out of the hole and cruises at a high speed per RPM, so more efficient. I can squeeze 58 out of it on GPS. I was amazed at how differently the boat reacted (ride wise) by swapping to the 4-blade, it's hard to describe because I've not had the 3-blade on in over 4-years.
I'd say go for it, you will not regret it!
