Default 24p Maximus questions

Looking for some answers on how a 24p 15 1/2” diameter Maximus with the Merc lab finish would compare to a 24p Bravo 1. I’m looking for more bowlift, but I have a feeling the Maximus will drop my rpms, which I really don’t want. I don’t have any personal experience with a Maximus, but hear they really bite hard. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

The Maximus will add more stern lift because of the additional blade and will prob drop rpms by 200-500.

Have additional rake and cupping added to the Bravo for more bowlift.

What power in what boat, you can't compare a Maximus to a Bravo 1, they are not the same, a Bravo 1 at 15X24P and say a Maximus round-eared down to 15.25X24P (not 15.5”), is not a fair comparison, a 24P Bravo 1 is actually 23P in it’s stock satin or labbed form, it’s only 24P when cupped to 24P. The comparison is 24P Bravo 1 to a 22P Maximus which Mercury does not make, 496 CID or higher for Maximus props, and anything then that typically won’t have enough to turn 24P Maximus or won’t have enough engine weight to keep stern down with that much stern lift on that prop.
