Thinking of doing a vacation and would like to view some offshore racing among other sites on the east coast. So open to ideas since leaving boat at home, but maybe key west? We don't party or do night life. where to go and stay?
thanks

Key West would be choice one, but Sarasota, Clearwater and Cocoa Beach are cool. Depends on your time of year. This year the Ft Myers race will be well attended too.

I highly recommend the Clearwater and Englewood races!! Englewood would be the most low key and quiet if that's what you're shooting for. Clearwater if you want more "to do" options.
I'll never do KW as I've lived in FL for 39 years and know it as one big jam packed and overpriced party. Not my cup of tea, I need room to breathe.

This year I would avoid Clearwater and key west as they are RWO races and I would be worried about low boat counts. From everything I’ve read and heard the boats are all committed to the OPA/APBA/P1 series which has had more than 60 boats at each race.
Ft Myers is the national championship race for the OPA series and englewood is the worlds. I’ve been to the englewood races and live in the ft Myers area. I would recommend both of those. VRBOs aren’t bad and they are cool places to do all sorts of stuff.
