After purchasing an amazing Nordic Heat, with a balls out crazy motor. I finally have been able to piece together the specs. Larry was amazing and knew exactly what I was dealing with including the intake made by ASM and ProCharger blower unit custom fuel injection, custom JE pistons etc. Larry knew of the previous owner who had past away and he knew exactly everything I needed. Including propping up to 30 or 32 pitch prop as I am blowing away my labbed 28, RPM limits, spark gap, and oil type/weight. Although ASM is only doing mail order business, something not commonly known is that Arizona Speed and Marine builds/casts/designs the Merc Blue motor intakes. So if you have one of the 525 and up motors you can thank ASM. I also found out that the intake on my boat is the only other cert intake besides Mercs to be allowed in some types off shore racing and 1 of 50 made. (pic) Hats off to both companies. A very interesting piece of advice i will follow is to keep my RPM in the 5000-5200 even though the engine was built for much higher.
