..Im redoing the Stereo system Ive got the Babb 10in Speakers and going to change them out to the JL Audio M8.8. What do you all recommend,any ideas on what would look Ok?

The Babb hole is around 8.85, The od is 10.5 to the screw holes. The JL 8.8 calls for a 7.375 dia hole.

Theres a guy out of Ga that makes bunch diff rings etc, mdf fiberglass, and he uses 1/2" thick King Starboard.

I got a pull the Babb out, think that panel is little over 1/4 thick.

my set up

I would cut a starboard ring, attach it from the back side (so you don't see screw holes) then put the JL in. you could always cover the ring with vinyl too depending on the look you want. I had to do something similar when I switched from a 6x9 to a 7 in my last boat.

I'd look into using Lexan rings, and then you could light them with LEDs.
