What is a faster set up?

MTI cat 40' 1330hp each what would be the fastest set up? High gear ratio small pitch or Low gear ratio large pitch?

I would call MTI. They have done plenty of testing on the race and pleasure boats.
Either way, a 40 with that much HP is going to fly.
