Oil pressure issues prevented John Tomlinson and Vinnie Rifice from breaking the Around Long Island solo-boat record this afternoon in New York in Stuart Hayim’s MTI.

So basically 7.5 quarts an hour per engine just in oil? Is that typical on these?

Wow that seems like those motors were chewing through a ton of oil! Maybe they were just about do for a refresh before the run?

holy ****. you would think these engines would not burn anywhere near that amount of oil being the amount of money they cost
