Question 2000 Baja 442 new to me. I'm looking for any info help tips or anything else

I'm new to big powerboats. I have been on the water my whole life. But nothing over 32 feet and single engine. I just bought a 2000 Baja 442 triple 502 merc mpi (425), bravo 1. I've been told several things about using the outside motors for turning at idle. It has trim tabs but not sure how to use them other than keeping the boat level side to side. The bow doesn't really rise up high. But anyone who has owned a boat like this that would like to share any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help.

I have a 2003 442 and have really enjoyed it . You are correct their is not a lot of bow rise as it is a bow heavy boat. You will find that unless you have a lot of people on the boat, the trim won't do you a lot of good except leveling the boat from side to side. Great ride but not as fast as I would like. Where do you boat? Feel free to ask me any questions you may have. They are a challenge to dock as you will have to use a little throttle to get them to move.

Hope you enjoy!

Awesome 👍 glad to hear that someone is on here that still has one... I will take you up on the questions...I'm sure I will have some... I go to Kentucky lake around the LBL and hwy 79 area...it's a long straight lake...and mostly under 2' swells unless there's a cabin cruzier cutting some waves.

Do you have any pics of your boat? Do you know the history on your boat like where it was originally from? Curious whether I might know the boat as it is a small world with 442's.
