Hello all, seeking advice for cost effective drives upgrade for a 99' 35 lightning single step with fresh twin 625 hp Atteco engines. Currently Bravo 1 drives 32p props. Currently only 84.5 mph Boat needs another 200 rpms, gets to 5100 rpms, thinking Bravo 1 30p props or swapping out lower units with speedmasters or imco shorties? Then down the road replace the uppers? Or should I just find a pair of SSM IIIs or similar? Trying to get a real top speed.. thank you!

Did you buy the boat from Shipyard Marine? I was eyeing that boat, looks like a great buy! I’m sure the Fountain family will chime in with the best route to take on lowers/props. Congrats on your purchase!

Few things, was the dyno in marine dress? You know marine headers, alternator, water pump sea pump etc.
as an example my buddy has the same boat, X is 19 3/4, hills 30 five blade prop and it runs 84 in 96 high humidity.
That is stock 525’s that were right around 535HP on the dyno.
His best speed was with 29 P5 hydros in cool weather 87 mph. You need to see what your X is with that HP you should be able to hit 90 easy
