Does this product (see photos) look safe/useful for protecting motor/drive parts by displacing moisture and does it seem safe for fogging my carburetors during 4-6 week periods of non-use?
Thanks,
Tom

Penatrating oil usually has some type of acid in it to penetrate rust. I definitely wouldn't use it. Like stated just fogging oil or run a soup mix thru the engine and fuel system.

Most penetrating fluids, as previously described are not a Fogging oil and would more than likely remove any trace of lubrication from the cylinder walls - which is what you are trying to achieve in Fogging...
Merc has a dedicated fogging oil that works well (as does 2 stroke oil mixed in) - but fogging oils generally have a creeping agent that causes the oil to spread - right up the spark plug electrodes too so you would be looking at that as well...
FYI - A lot of boats are launched a sit in marinas for several weeks waiting for the owners to arrive - generally speaking of Mercruiser stock power/ tow boats .... crank and go recreation boats)
The spray you have could be used to spray down the engines if you were worried about external corrosion (watch out for live electrical - shut off battery switch)

4-6 weeks isn’t long enough to worry about fogging, but it is long enough for e-10 to go to sh!t. Marina gas (non ethanol) will save you a lot of heartache. Alcohol is for the cup holder not the gas tank.

I try to use non-ethanol and I am religious about Stabil (for ethanol when using e-10) in every tank (just in case).
