Default Inner and outer tiebar?

Just read a thread where the poster had a factory internal and an external tiebar with external steering.
Am i correct that if you have external you have to remove internal tiebar?
I thought the turn radius were different.

The turn radius is the same when the drives are trimmed the same. The problem happens when one drive is down and the other drive is trying to go up, Then the tie bars bind.

It would be very wise to remove the internal bar if you have external steering with a external link.
