Default Mercruiser 6.2L MPI low oil pressure

Hello, and thank you for the opportunity to share my low oil pressure problem on a Mercruiser 6.2L MPI MIE engine. Your opinion on a solution would be greatly appreciated.
My starboard engine has low oil pressure issue. Upon starting it reads low 20's (port engine is double that), If I put the engine under a load it will increase to upper 20s, maybe 30 for a while, then drop slowly. At 4,000+ rpms, it takes no time for the smartcraft alarm to sound. If I keep it around 3,500 rpm, it will run for some time, but eventually lose pressure also. If I pull back to idle, it may read 10 psi or less, then slowly increase again to 20 or so. I have switched the oil pressure sending units and still same results. Any ideas of a possible simple solution to try since not close to qualified mechanic and do not have trailer of my own. I would need to have someone tow for me.
The engine sounds good, no knocking noises. Would you recommend switching the oil sensors?

There are 2 oil pressure sensors, one used by a gauge and one used by the PCM. The one used by smartcraft would be the smaller of the 2 (item 36). Which one was switch?

Remove the larger sensor and install a mechanical gauge. Might be able to get a loaner tool from a local parts place

i agree, conformation with a mechanical gauge needs to be done before any type of repair s made.

You can swap the sensors between the engines too. See if the problem stays with the engine or the sensor.

Thanks for the advice. I previously switched the sending unit (item #38) and may not have a chance to switch the pressure sensor (item #36) this weekend, but will do so as soon as possible and post what I find.
Just to clarify the digital reading matches the analog gauge at the helm.
Thank you

All dodge, I think the larger sensor you are referring to remove and install the mechanical gauge is the oil sending unit. Is this correct?
Thank you

Correct, if the larger one is removed it only impacts the analog display gauge, not the PCM

Yes, it was the pressure sensor (not the pressure sending unit). The pressure sending unit screws into the pressure sensor, which is attached to the engine. So, I had to remove the sending unit from the pressure sensor before I could remove the pressure sensor from the engine.
