Just picked up a 40SS with 502 MPI. What props do you guys run? I have 3Blade 26P on Bravo 3's.
Id love to get better cruise, Best MPG.....dont need top speed as I dont want to blow the motors. Rather see the best cruise speed/MPG. Let me know!

You could try the XR prop sets which have blades more like the Bravo I props (have cup and are not elephant ear like standard 3 x 3 BIII). They are 4 blade forward, 3 blade aft. 25" pitch is what I would try. On a single engine boat I went from 26" standard BIII 3 x 3 to 25" XR BIII 4 x 3 and picked up cruise efficiency but lost a MPH or two on the big end. My boat didn't like the extra stern lift of the 4 blade so I switched back.

Thank you all for the suggestions. I know factory was 3 blade 26. I am curious going to 4 blade (both props) what that might do (or does)? Also thinking maybe 4 blade 24P?
I talked to a Hill Marine and he got me thinking to do 4Blade either 26 or maybe even 24....this guy was great to talk to BTW.
Overall, would LOVE to hear from experience owners. Everyone is saying this boat with 502 should touch 50MPH and cruise 32....well how the heck you get there? What props and fuel do you need to do that?

Hill is great to work with and they will exchange props for free.
You don't want to go to 4 blade 26 with current 3 blade 26, maybe 4 blade 24. More blades less pitch
Could ask the question on the Formula forum

Hill seems great. Probably going to go with there props.
He suggest to go to 24P 4Blade on both front and back. He said I might be OK with 26 but felt 24 is good....but of course is willing to swap if I want to try both (great customer service by Hill).
I am getting 4800 right now, but that is end of year numbers. I just bought the boat Labor day and haven't had it with a clean bottom....Props are factory props from Formula. I am sure they are great, but I want to save some $$ and get great MPG and cruise....Top speed I'm not that concern. Id love to cruise 32MPH or so and burn best rate....
I want to post in the Formula forum, but seems it wont let me....yet....
