for what it will cost for a block, machine work etc... just buy a motor that is and does what you want,

Assuming yours is not rebuildable, could go to pull-a-part and get one out of the junk yard for 150, but do have to look around

I have some GEN VI with fuel pump hole. This is the latest 7.4 block. Also have some steel and nitrile upgrade cranks.
