Hey gang,
I had an interesting experience overhauling my original Merc 454's on my 86' Miami Vice Edition 38KV in 2015 and learned a lot.
This time around on my 85' season one Miami Vice Stinger 390X I'm going about it with lessons learned.
The power was running good and smooth when surveyed, I pulled everything to install new transom and stringers.
I have a well recommended overhauler of the TRS drives and transmissions but I am still looking for input on overhauling the original 454's.
I would like to have the original engines disassembled, checked and if solid, rebuilt.
Any recommendations for experienced rebuilders / machine shops in Florida would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Tony

There is a Miami vice Chris craft sitting and rotting away in NJ/Pennsylvania and the owner think when he goes to sell it and he's going to be able to retire from the profit. It has a emblem stating it is one of the show boats, how true I can't confirm that.
