I am buying a new CC in Florida tomorrow and plan on keeping the boat in Florida until April. The dealer is having me fill out an Affidavit that gives me 90 days to keep the boat in Florida and then I have 30 days from departure from Florida to prove registration and title. If I register the boat in New Hampshire after January 1, can I then keep the boat in Florida for longer than 90 days?

Do you have personal property tax in your home city/county? If so, you may want to delay purchase until after January 1.
The affidavit may allow you to do that, I'm not certain.
For example, in my county, in Virginia, if you own something on January 1, it's taxable for that year. If you buy it on January 2nd, you don't pay tax until the following year.

Oh yeah, HOT topic right now. The Peoples Republic of Maryland is invading Virginia, and Northern Virginia is suffering from Stockholm Syndrome. Nothing has happened yet, but many counties (mine included) are passing 2A "sanctuary statutes".
