Floating brass in drive oil - bravo one

I have drained the drive oil overnight and have floating streaks of brass in oil. Any suggestions?
1994 Mercruiser 7.4L Bravo One O/D

Cone Clutches are shot , brass back up ring has come loose and is grinding to pieces.
Remove the top and rear cap and have a look.
