That's an age old scam
I did this a few years back... pi$$es then off... then tell them don't want it an turn check over to the police.

Standard operating procedure. "THEY" have been doing this a long time. Any change from THEIR plans and there will be no more contact. The best you can hope for is to string them along for as long as possible just to waste their time. That will piss them off more than you can imagine. Trust me, I talk from experience.

I was hoping 'F_Inscreenname' would reply. I may be wrong (apologies) but I think he was the one who had a different way to deal with scammers who want to get all your details and then send cheques.

He gave out a false name, received cheques and kept them just for fun. It was F_Inhilarious, I just had to keep his picture.......

I once gave them the Name of the head of our local FBI office AND that address...

They sent me tracking info, and they actually sent a check and it was signed for the by the FBI office receptionist..

Hope they got a kick out of it.. lol
