Default Water pressure gauge on 1988 Johnson outboard!??

Hi!

From where is the pest place to take water pressure to gauge? Motor is old 1988 Johnson V6 225hp....is there some specific place to assempby the hose?

I would hop over to scream and fly and ask those guys. Tons of knowledge just like this site but all outboard guys.

There are a couple of NPT plugs in the plate (exhaust adaptor) that the Powerhead bolts to, starboard side.
Tap into that and you’re golden.

There is also a 1/8, maybe 1/4 NPT port that is plugged from factory on top of the block, between the heads just behind the fly wheel that I like to use so you know the pressure at the top of the block.
