Default Grand Rapids michigan boat show

Wife and I are thinking about taking a short mid-winter getaway and coming down for the grand rapids boat show. Any suggestions on good places to stay nearby or things to do in the grand rapids area? Anybody from here going?
Thanks
Matt

A Griffins hockey game may be more entertaining than the boat show.

Hope you enjoy Pontoon boats. Go to Miami, just a thought

Tons of places and things to do downtown. West Michigan Offshore will have a completely redone 37 Outerlimits on display and I believe Powerquest will have a 380 on display.

will agree as most boat shows are this way now. Pontoons - wake boats - bass boats or costal areas is no bass boats but CC boats on display. And Miami is the same currently. They have more jetski s on displayed at Miami in one year than 5 years combined of offshore performance boats. You will be hard pressed to find 20 I/Os displayed at any show.

QFT. After getting complimentary tickets and free parking I think we still paid too much. The wife and I were in and out in about 45 minutes--not into pontoons.

I was just about to ask if it was pontoonpaloza like Detroit. Looks like my question has already been answered.

Even living nearby and getting a "deal" on tickets...I always wonder if worth going.
Usually end up going and planning this year too, but never really impressed

Im already heading to the area to
pick up some parts for one of my project trucks so we thought it’d be something different to do while in the area.....besides it’s gotta be better than any boat show in the UP!

Thought seeing/meeting the WMO group would be nice as we are planning on trailering our fountain farther from home this year get out to see some different areas, meet some new folks
