Default AutoAlert Returning To Sponsor PBC Super Stock Team

Performance Boat Center will focus exclusively on its Super Stock-class team this season, https://speedonthewater.com/in-the-n...per-stock-team.

Great news for Rusty and Myrick.

Bummed about the Supercat boat not running this year. Not sure if they can get the MTI as competitive as the old Skater.

Matt, do you know if the Jimmy John's sale has any influence on the decision to sit out? Meaning is the decision sponsorship related or performance related?

Well that's a bummer, but the supercat class still should be stacked. There should be at least 9 supercat teams still competing this season. Pro-Floors, WHM, MCON, AMH, CJ Grant, SV Offshore, Broadco, Dependable, & Gone Again. Maybe some more teams will show up? The super stock class has 20 teams so far which is amazing.

I wonder if Jimmy John's pulled the sponsorship on the Performance Boat Center Supercat. Or they feel like the new MTI boat is not very competitive.

How can a company like PBC, using a new boat from a company like MTI, not be able to compete with teams using older hulls and possibly less budget?

it was a idea on a boat that just didn’t work. Back to the drawing board.

A dialed in 388 Skater is tough to beat in that class.

Yea, the 388 has been the ideal boat for supercat for years. I can imagine the odds start to stack up when going up against 5 or 6 of them.

Another point I want to bring up, look at Broadco. They won in their old MTI a few years ago.

The Mti is a cut down 48 just to big for the turns and short course. They told me in key west the boat was done maybe a new manufacturer next year ??
