Here’s the story I got:

The boat is in Holland, I looked at it and the deal for two days, there are two issues to seriously consider

1. The government has a hold tag on it as the tax has never been paid, at last weeks discovery I was told the duty is around 45,000 euros.
2. The engines have not been run in several years, I cant get a straight answer on that as the previous owner is a cowboy from Bulgaria, Boyko Todarov, the bank took the boat from him and the present owner bought it at auction. He tried to run the boat but the engines wont run, head work, leakdown..you know the drill.
3. To ship the boat back to the U.S. will cost approximately $25,000 and will be take one month to expedite and load, three weeks shipping to Savannah Ga. Three weeks to clear customs.
4. Trailer looks good but the tires are DOT # 2008, so they gotta be replaced before any long haul.

He bought the boat and it is back in the USA.
You are correct on the history. The boat originally sold to the guy in Bulgaria who defaulted on the loan and the boat was then seized by the bank. The boat was sold at auction and ended up in Holland and then some time later was put up for sale. Unfortunately, I don't believe there are many records that were either kept or available because once that boat went to Europe, no one really saw it again until the bank repo'd it.
