Default Lake Norman ?

Anyone boat on lake norman NC. Looking for a change of scenery, been to LOTO 25+ times and Cumberland. Powerboats alive and thriving? Have teenage boys, not looking for huge party scene. Wondering about restaurants, hangouts. I plan on doing other things besides boating. Have 35 executioner, don't want to hang out with wakeboard boats all day. Any info will be appreciated, thank you.

I have boated on lake Norman 10 times in the last 3 years and it’s big, several places to eat on the water, several sand bars etc, but it’s busy, and pontoons, wake boats and jet skis are the most prominent sights.

You won’t stick out at all. Depending on when you plan on going, you may be the small slow boat on the water. I have a 33’ ocean hawk center console and saw a bunch of big cats and vees each time I was out. I live on lake Wylie which is an hour south of lake Norman, id say come down here, but there’s nothing to do on the water except boat or go to the one restaurant we have on the water. But if you want a chill family day, this is the lake for that.

We LOVE Lake Norman. There is a fun run on the Lake every August that we try to make. Performance boats are a plenty.

My favorite place on earth! Lots of great watering holes/restaurants, beautiful water and sights, plenty of space and lots of performance boats. There are plenty of really nice ramps too. We plan to retire there. I've never dealt with too many jet skis there. We vacation there a lot.

I live on Lake Norman. We have had a boat here since 2007. If anyone ever needs any info, feel free to send me a message.
