Default Nortech 5000V Bilge pump in cabin/under bathroom

Hi guys,

My boat is a 2005 and it has a bilge pump somewhere under the floor in the cabin. I am guessing it is in one of the steps and wonder if it also removed the water from the shower.
where exactly is this pump located and how do I reach it? Being 15 years old I would like to replace it if possible. I know someone must have been in the same situation before me.

best regards

Jesper

I had a 43, it was below cabinet on right side as you enter cabin. Under floor of cabinet.

Yes, the floor is a removable panel on the closet to the right, just inside the sliding door. There are a few screws to remove it. The bilge pump in there, on the bottom of the hull. The shower is not directly hooked up to the bilge, rather it just drains into the hull and sits there and the bilge does not get it all out.

I ended up purchasing a whale gulper bilge pump, down in the same area, and hooked up to the shower drain directly, and wired in a switch inside the closet area. Then I used a "y"brass fitting to tie it into the same line as the existing bottom bilge pump. So both pumps are operational, with the whale gulper dedicated to the shower and operated by the switch. Now I can use the shower and make sure soapy/dirty water doesn't sit in the hull and stink. Grey water can be as bad smelling as black water after it sits for awhile! So this eliminates that problem.

I also had to rip out the water heater that sits behind the small microwave oven. The entire bottom of the heater was completely blown out and in pieces under there. Glad I found this when installing a new microwave and removed it before further problems.

I had to replace the microwave because it literally caught on fire when using it! The exhaust fan is on the right side on a bracket. Well it because detached inside and who knows what else shook apart, so had to replace that also.

The AC condenser you need to check to see if the mounting screws are tight inside the unit. If they are loose, the end tubes on the condenser rubs against a bracket inside the case, and eventually punctures, letting the freon out. Had to remove and get repaired, then reinstalled/relocated some brackets to prevent this from happening again.

Ran LED strip lights in the engine room perimiter, Nexgen Lithium house/generator batteries, NMEA networked Fusion stereo. remotes, Simrad and Mercury Vessel link system.

I could go on and on. I have it completely dialed in, front to back! If you have any other questions let me know

Thank you so much just the info I was looking for. Now I just need Corona to go away so I can get down to my boat.
