Hey Guys - Interested in your thoughts. We currently own a Cobia 280 DC with twin F250s...overall awesome boat, great for family and cruising with friends, solid fishing machine (though we have smaller boats we fish off), and runs about 56 WOT in good water so pretty decent performance.

Like a lot of you I have come to realize that I really like to go fast on the water and there are a lot of places we want to visit where running at 50mph instead of 30mph would be a big difference. So I am interested in the fastest center console or if not center console comfortable seating for a minimum of 5 (preferably 6-7) boat that can be equipped with either a big single (like a 450R) or twins (thinking twin E-G2 250s or 300s for maintenance reasons). Would like to keep price in the 60-80k range tops....so that limits me a lot unless I go pre-owned which I am totally open to doing. Even something like a single Merc 350 or 400R on a 21 would be great but I just don't see a lot of boats around here (NY/CT) in that setup. Would love to eventually trade in our Cobia on a Midnight 37 Open or Nortech 340 Sport but not ready to do that yet. Just looking for ideas for time being for a second boat just for fun / fast / flat days.

We get 2-3ft waves pretty regularly but also a ton of really flat water days and some nice protected covers right around house and we have the other boat to use when it is kicking up, so offshore capability is not a huge priority. Thanks for your thoughts.

23/24 Contender or Yellowfin would hit great numbers but they are expensive

If you can find one. They are rare. 26-28’ I think. They had twin 2 strokes, pad bottom and they fly.
