Default Electrical or fuel?

Port engine wont start after I did a fuel polishing exercise, found some water in fuel, and dumped water out of carb. Replaced coil just in case, changed fuel filter in carb and out, even tried starter fluid but since I am solo - tough to turn key and spray. It turns over fine.

Float stuck perhaps? Access sucks so I may have to pull carb again.

What stupid thing am I missing? What should I look for?

Thanks!

Put old coil back on and re try.
If you crank the the engine over for 15 seconds, you should be able to go back to the carb and move the throttle and see fuel spray.

Figured it out - no power at coil....traced it back to wiring harness issue. I must have stepped on wiring harness to port motor while doing some maintenance - douche before me had non-marine butt-end connectors for some of the wires hidden under electrical tape and of course my stepping on them broke a few.

Add another project to the list - rewire harnesses ;-)

Thanks everyone for your assistance!
