Default Rust free truck beds

Having a heck of a time finding some vintage 2000 sheetmetal. Specifically a truck box 8ft for that era Dodge.

Anyone have any connections to someone down south, TX or out west?

I see them on FaceBook Marketplace from time to time, a group of them usually from some chap that buys them from down south and brings them north.

Also, download the app BRZO for your phone. It's a great app that searches all of Craigslist and works really well.

There is a shortage of clean stuff down south. I had an employee smash a 2002 1500 chevy. Insurance wanted to fix it, I took their check and sold the wrecked truck "as is." Took a shot in the nose (grill/bumper/headlights/radiator/frame ends and of course the airbag). It ran/drove short distances fine (until it got warmed up/no radiator). I sold the whole truck on craiglist to a guy buying it just for the bed/tailgate! He said a clean bed/tailgate is $2000 so he bought it, planned on parting it and was going to fix it/put a wood stakebed on it and hopefully resell it for what he paid me ($2500).

Truck was 10+ years old at the time, I took the cash and the insurance check and bought a new one.

Check on Car-Part.com most large suppliers will check multi state areas. LKQ corp. is throughout the US and will search the country for you.

Also check with companies like Monroe and Ready truck parts, they sometimes have take off beds from vehicles they converted.

LKQ was founded by a die hard go fast boat owner. His last was a 36 Apache (Bull Roar) and it was a tender for his 171 ft yacht Battered Bull.

Note the OP was looking for 2000 vintage truck beds, not new ones.

I looked pretty regularly for a used rust free bed for my 2007 2500HD Classic(sold it) and never found any that I thought were priced decent.
Search Eddies Rust Free Truck beds.
