In these econimic times I'd wait for the right one coming up for sale. It will be a cash buyer's market like no other soon.

The black 2005, the last one built, is in Florida. The nicest is supposedly the yellow 1986. It was an open checkbook resto in 2007 in Maryland and got quad 300XS optis. I believe it's in Lake Havasu still. That's the one I would pursue. I don't mind restos on 27'-28' and below boats, but larger than that I've always found it better to catch the right boat that somebody buried bundles of bill$ as ballast in.

Bet that one has a few stories to tell. Has the typical Gulf Stream Hauler color combo.... And Arnesons for shallow draft.....

Resurrecting the dead thread...does anyone know where the orange one is today? My dad bought it out of Vegas in April of '14 and sold it to someone in the NE the following year. He always said he should have kept that one. Just wondering what ever became of it.

Call the main dealers in Havasu. Most of them would probably know if the orange is still around. It's unique, and the Lake and its surroundings are small.

I'm pretty sure the boat is not out West. When my dad bought the boat in 2014, it came out of Vegas. We took it to Havasu for the weekend, then it went to FL. He had it there for about a year, then sold it to someone in CT or RI or something up in the NE. I'm not sure where it went since then.
