Thursday's race results are on the SBI website..
what I dont understand is that the top two finishers in P5 averaged OVER 70MPH on the last two laps of the race.I thought these boats would be DISQUALIFIED for breaking out of the class bracket; (60-69MPH)for P5????

The course was set -up a little short resulting in higher speeds. It was corrected after the first race on Thursday.

Cool

Here is a link to there website:
http://www.superboat.com/ranking/worlds/worlds2002.html

Seems funny that there weren't any Manufacture I and Manufacture II boats listed? I know they are there racing.

Question I think they just forgot us. . .

Chris told me he attended a meeting discussing the fact that 2 boats "broke out" in the final 2 laps. It was the impression of John Carbonell that the speed brackets are for the entire race. It was voted on by the class, and determined that although they will not be DQ'd this time, they will not be allow to average over 70 mph in Sunday's race.

I called Chris, and he is going to the SBI trailer to check it out.

Come on south wind!

Just Browsing,

You may get your wish. Its windy in Baton Rouge already. 15-20 knots kicks up Ponchartrain pretty good with it being so shallow and large. Good luck tomorrow!

Default Thanks rjcard. & Pete!

Talked to Chris, and everything is okay. If you look at Pittman Photo's points, they have 453 (which is second). We have 504 points. Apparently it was just an omission when they typed in the results.

I give an update tomorrow night.
