Default Where to find heavy duty trailer transom tiedowns?

Where’s the best place to find heavy duty trailer transom tiedowns? The big box stores have 10,000 pound+ capacity tiedowns, but they’re 12 foot long or longer. Really only looking for something that’s about 3 foot long.

I just bought the long ones and cut them to the exact length. Throw a little heat on the cut edge and your good to go.

So cut them down to the length you need. Here's my poor man's tie downs. Ratchet strap threaded through a piece of pool noodle. Works great, use them for a season or two, then toss in the garbage.

If you don't mind spending a little more, the absolute best tie downs are from "Custontiedowns.com" 877 360 5528. They are stainless steel heavy duty ratchet type, made to any length you desire, and you can have verbiage printed on them such as your boat name. Helps keeping them from walking off.

I recommend by looking at the 10K Tie downs. There is numerous companies that sell them including Ebay, Amazon etc...(example https://www.snappinturtle.com/kits/1...at-snap-hooks/ ) Another place I like to buy them is at automotive swap meets. Go to the people selling trailer accessories. They generally have a good selection and are better priced. I like the 8' straps. The excess I just wrap and tie off. That being said, I haul numerous boats and the lengths vary as to where they mount on the boat and trailer. If you are just going to use them for 1 boat and 1 trailer. They are easy to cut off to length, then just burn the end so they don't fray.

Also, I recommend you look for the "Flat" snap hooks not the ones twisted 90 degrees. (The link above is the ones I am talking about) That way they lay flat against the boat, and you don't have to worry about them rubbing. On some boats, I also wrap a small piece of carpet between the snap hook and the boat. But again, it will depend on where your tie downs are on the transom.
