Default 1988 Scarab 3 34" w/ no motors

My father in law has a 1988 Scarab 3 with 525's and TRS drives. The boat is in good condition and runs good but there does not seem to be much of a market for selling these. I am thinking about buying the boat and using the motors in a couple street cars I own ( a 69 Camaro and a 67 Chevelle). The motors were professionally built and dynoed at 517 hp each. My question is, if I buy the boat for the motors, Is there any chance of selling the boat without motors? It will still have the TRS drives , props, manifolds, and all the other marine stuff. Also sitting on a 92 eagle tri-axle trailer

Unless you can prove that the structure is dry and solid, in my opinion it's only worth the sum of the parts on it, and the hull is a liability.
But that's just me

Your basically taking a $20K-15K boat and removing the $12K motors. Then the only thing left usable are the drives, transmissions, trailer and some trim pieces, then your dealing with a stripped hull no one wants. Better off trying to sell it and not deal with the headache of dealing with a stripped hull.
