Default Prop blowing out after backing off throttle?

So the issue happens when driving the boat relatively hard then backing off to cross a wake or wave, and then giving it more throttle to get back up to speed. I have to be sure to slowly get back on the throttle or else the engine will rev right to the limiter. I'm guessing the prop is blowing out? This doesn't happen from a stop, I can give it full throttle and it'll bite no problem from low speed.
Boat is a Sunsation aggressor (24x7). Bravo 1, 24p revolution 4 blade. I usually only see like 10% slip with this setup at WOT fyi.

When you slow down are your trimming the drive back in some?

Plus 1 on the trimming down. Some 24x7 hulls will swap ends on you if you yank the throttle back without trimming down.

typically I do trim down when it is a planned slow down, but I cant trim down before every wave and back up again after the wave. A different prop or something can't solve this?

Its physics a different prop will not change it. Just keep the drive tucked in, you will be plowing water, but then no need to trim down for take off
