Weird!

Why would you get rid of your engine brand whilst “concentrating our efforts on next generation engine technology, publicly known as Project Ghost”?

Surely you would be better to integrate this next generation product offering whilst maintaining a presence. Never mind they are giving their opposition a leg up.

They shut down the E-etc line but I think retained the Evinrude brand.

Rumor is they will use their Rotax 4 stroke engine co. and come back w/a 4 stroke.

The Rotax engine dominates in PWC’s and sleds so...

Bit sad with over 100 years of history.

Thanks Ole Evinrude for bringing outboards to the world.

I had a couple Evinrude's over the years, they were damn good engines.. Would not die !! My dad was an Evinrude junkie. Hated Mercury's "heavy bastards" he called them. When he passed, sold his old fishing rig to one of my cousin's. Day later found 2 more outboards behind one of the roll around tool boxes, Sold them to a collector. Kicking myself to this day for not keeping one to hang on my dock or something.

Its hard to compete with Yamaha/Mercury. Not sure where Suzuki fits in to this puzzle but Evinrude had to be a distant 4th place.

For sure , and I think Suzuki is doing quite well also. At my local CT Boat show this year I could not believe the amount on Suzuki's. Seemed liked they were the majority for the first time ever at that show.
