The end all suggestion for shining gel and waxing... products and tools?
#1
I’ve been searching but have become very confused.
I want to clean up the gel coat on my 311. It was professionally done last year by some auto guys. It looked great last summer but it’s failing; not badly, but it needs help. After reading this morning, I’m finding that it’s probably related to automotive finish products that release petroleum and fail. I want to do it right this time!
i have my trusty old GF variable speed polisher (Porter Cable). It works like a beast, though heavy and fatiguing though I think fatigue may be related to products used.
I’d like suggestions on product to cut and then polish/wax. I thinking Totally Buff #1 and Vitreo. What do I need for pads for each step? And should I be using a different type of buffer (orbital/DA) for the step after Totally Buff?
Expert help is appreciated. I want to knock this out once and for all. Thanks!!

Look into Fountain of Youth products. there are a number of threads on OSO about this line of restoration and Finish products.
